FLOODLAND is an independent research-driven network of academic and practitioneers who are interested in the question of how to make land for flood risk management available. This questions covers issues such as:
- How to get landowners and land users to realize measures for flood retention or resilience?
- What are viable upstream-downstream arrangements for flood risk management?
- What is the role of public institutions and private stakeholders in flood risk management
The network therefore launches publication activities such as articles, books and special issues, and tries to set up research projects around these topics. The network serves as a platform to accomplish these tasks. All participants therefore meet in workshops.
